Beedie School of Business is looking for a Manager, Web Information Systems to lead the development, design, implementation, and secure operation of web information systems. The Manager participates in long term strategic planning; designs the overall online framework and the integration of system components; identifies and develops appropriate software; configures, customizes, implements, and tests web applications and services; documents web-related systems and processes; and develops and delivers web-related training programs.

The role will be primarily based at the Burnaby Campus with option to work remotely for up to 2 days a week.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Management Information systems, or a related discipline, and five years of relevant experience including experience in web information system development and business analysis, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with large web site management, including planning and layout; use of relational databases and other tools to create dynamic web pages; and content management systems, e.g., Marquis, Drupal.
- Excellent knowledge of current web and database technologies and standards including XML, XHTML, AJAX, current scripting languages (e.g. Perl, PHP), RDBMSs (e.g., MySQL and/or PostgreSQL), Javascript, CSS, W3C Web Usability Guidelines, and accessibility guidelines.
- Excellent administrative management, project management, and planning skills.Excellent organizational, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (both oral and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical reasoning skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and innovation and to originate and adopt changes that maintain the facilities as state of the art and appropriate for mobile technologies.
- Ability to travel out of town for courses, conferences or other professional activities to represent the Beedie School of Business.
