Come join us in taking the innovation in our business and technology to the next level. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager as a key member of our product development team.
About the Role
In this role you will work closely with a cross functional product teams of software, firmware, embedded systems, RF engineers, front end and back-end developers and QA engineers to deliver our high quality, scalable IIOT products and solutions.
You will take ownership of the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall quality program including test planning, test design, test automation, reporting, risk management, best practices, and tools.
You will drive an overall test strategy and develop a system wide testing approach that ensures a broad system view for a system that takes input from many diverse teams. Ensure the scalability of the test program and team across multiple development teams that are in multiple geographic locations.
You bring with you a strong technical background and excellent problem solving abilities.
You will have extensive experience with the implementation and management of test automation programs.
You will coach project team members and other engineers in enhancing test skills.
You are logical and take a scientific approach to designing tests for complex features and systems. You are able to mentor other staff to improve their skills in this area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Design Engineering or related discipline
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in software quality leveraging Agile methodologies
- Experience leading a team of testers in a matrix organization
- Certified Scrum Master designation is an asset
- Knowledge and expertise in Electricity Transmission, Distribution & Industrial markets is an asset
- Demonstrated team player. Capability to manage and motivate quality teams in a matrix organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills; communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies
- Detail oriented and disciplined and able to drive the creation of high quality test plans
- Demonstrated ability to bring new ideas to the team and able to mentor others in the process of test design
- Change oriented - actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master and experience applying Agile methodologies in a embedded systems development ecosystem that includes hardware, firmware and software
- Prior experience implementing and managing a test automation program
