Overview
We're looking for an experienced Business Planning Analyst for our prevention divisional services and credentialling department.
In this role, you'll provide support for a variety of duties related to the business planning, analysis, performance, and quality management for the Certificate of Recognition (COR) department.
How you'll make a difference: You'll help ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
This role is temporary for 14 months.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.
What you'll do
- Provide support and assistance to directors, managers, and staff in developing business plans
- Define measures and develop and complete departmental reports
- Apply financial and business planning principles and practices, including result-based management, to maintain a balanced scorecard in the public sector
- Manage projects as they relate to financial planning and performance measurements
- Analyze data and provide reports for actuarial, finance, and collections
- Apply business process improvement principles including change management
- Gather and analyze information to understand problems and/or opportunities, and develop creative and pragmatic solutions
- Write concise, clear, and grammatically correct business documents to inform or persuade a variety of audiences

Your background and experience
- A master's degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, or finance and a minimum of four years of related work experience in business and/or financial analysis
- Or, a bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, or finance, plus a recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) and a minimum of four years of related work experience
We'll consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.
