We're looking for experienced Support Analyst III to join our Technology Enablement and Support team to provide second level support and services to internal and external stakeholders for WorkSafeBC business applications and self-serve knowledge tools.
You'll be a technical resource to aid on system enhancement and project request as well as manage and resolve problems varying in complexity to ensure optimal business delivery to stakeholders.
How you'll make a difference: You will be using leading-edge technology and help connect British Columbians to healthy and safe workplaces - providing support for injury prevention programs, rehabilitation services, workplace insurance, and strong health and safety cultures.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.
- Provide business application support by answering business questions, working with other I&T departments to resolve issues, keeping customers informed on the problem status/resolution, and maintaining status information in the Service Management tool
- Educate and train customers on the use of business applications and self-serve tools and develop and provide end-user training and reference materials
- Contribute to and maintain self-serve knowledge bases
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate business system requirements
- Work on and/or lead projects and initiatives
We're looking for people who can:
- Solve problems and make decisions that have a moderate to high level of complexity
- Analyze information, anticipate and recognize problems and opportunities, creatively develop possible solutions, evaluate alternatives and, using sound judgment, make viable recommendations and decisions
- Prioritize, organize, and schedule people or tasks
- Develop action plans while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability to meet project targets
- Lead, motivate, influence, and facilitate collaboration when working with team members with a variety of skills and knowledge levels
- Prepare and present complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, clients, and work teams
- Build positive and professional working relationships while managing and resolving conflict in sometimes challenging circumstances with frustrated customers.
Your background and experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or technology related discipline
- A minimum 4 years of related experience working in one of the following:
- - technology support
- - systems implementation
- - systems planning
- - knowledge management
- We'll consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.
