Vancouver, BC, August 7, 2013--(T-Net)--Vancouver Economic Commission reported via Twitter today (and related press release information outlined below) that the UK's Basis Technologies is opening an office in Vancouver.
Basis Technologies Inc, an innovator in the field of SAP high performance software solutions, announced the opening of the Vancouver Office as part of its North American expansion efforts.
Tish Nicolls, of the United Kingdom Trade & Investment office, explains that Basis Technologies was drawn to Vancouver because of the city's vibrant technical industry, local large SAP office, wealth of multinational energy and mining companies, and the accessibility of the entire western seaboard.
Vancouver Economic Commission reported that Basis Technologies embarks on this expansion to support the acceleration of business growth and demand for its SAP high performance software solutions.
About Basis Technologies
Basis Technologies International (BTI) was originally founded in Australia in 1997 as an SAP technical specialist consultancy after being commissioned by Woodside Petroleum to develop a Change Management application to support their SAP systems. This application was enhanced and further developed into today's commercial solution Transport Express.
Between 1997 and 2001 customer adoption of Transport Express increased to include Ericsson, Citipower, Water Corporation and Warman.
In 2003 Basis Technologies International was established in the UK as a Worldwide Head Office - quickly winning our first UK customer - Centrica. Working with such a large SAP customer in a demanding industry sector added valuable credibility to Transport Express, enabling us to grow our customer base to include well-known international entities such as BHP Billiton, Alstom, AGL, BP, EDF, E.On, Xerox and Royal Mail Group.
Demonstrating our ability to broaden our innovation capabilities, in 2004 we introduced a new solution called Mass Data Runtime (MDR). Originally designed to deal with the large data volumes processed in SAP systems in the Utilities sector, MDR has since evolved to provide an easy, intelligent and fast way to accelerate the processing of reports, programs and data extractions - addressing important and common constraints of poor-performing SAP systems.
In 2009, we introduced Business Data Exceptions (BDEx). The core of BDEx is to identify breakdown points (exceptions) in business and operational processes - the kind of problems that cause avoidable and costly operational delay and ultimately have a financial impact.
Today, we continue building on our values of being a helpful, collaborative, imaginative organization comprised of highly-capable people. Spanning 14 different nationalities, our teams' international and culturally diverse backgrounds is one of our greatest strengths in working with international companies.
