Michael Phelps, Energy Industry Executive, Joins Chrysalix Advisory Board

Vancouver, BC, January 28, 2016--(T-Net)--Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, one of the most active industrial innovation and alternative energy venture capital firms, announced the addition of long time energy executive, Michael Phelps, to the firm's Advisory Board.
As a Chrysalix Advisory Board member, Michael will draw on his extensive expertise in executive management, private equity and finance in the natural resource and energy sectors to provide counsel to Chrysalix and its portfolio companies on growth and business strategies.
Michael is highly regarded in the energy industry for his corporate leadership and knowledge of the political and regulatory environment in North America, as well as his deep knowledge of energy development in global markets including Indonesia, Mexico and China.
Michael was a longstanding executive at Westcoast Energy (a natural gas company acquired by Duke Energy in 2002) where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1992 to 2002, as Chief Financial Officer from 1987 to 1989, and as a corporate development executive from 1982 to 1987.
Currently Michael serves as the Director and Founder of Dornoch Capital and is a Director on multiple boards including Marathon Oil and Spectra Energy Corporation. His previous board positions include Director of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Duke Energy, Canadian Forest Products, Deutsche Bank AG and Canadian Pacific Railway Company.
