Vancouver, BC, December 8, 2016--(T-Net)--Vancouver-based FrontFundr, developers of an online platform for small companies to access private capital, today announced a new partnership with Candor Consulting.
FrontFundr is currently established in running equity crowdfunding campaigns that give the masses access to private investment opportunities, and the new partnership with Candor will work to open up similar private deals to venture capital firms.
“We are taking the concept of equity crowdfunding to the next level,” says Candor CEO Randy Lennon. “FrontFundr has already established itself as the market leader in Canada and with this partnership we will take the FrontFundr technology beyond startup and early-stage companies. We will fill a longstanding void in the capital markets by offering a seamless funding process for established small and medium enterprises as well as startups, through one sophisticated platform.”
Candor will initially expand FrontFundr's on-the-ground presence in western Canada with Candor consultants to become FrontFundr ambassadors in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna and Vancouver.
The combined team represents seasoned professionals including successful entrepreneurs, business advisors, investment bankers, accountants, lawyers, and chartered financial analysts. The team will work to grow FrontFundr's investor pool and provide additional manpower and expertise to the due diligence process for vetting both companies and investors.
“We're excited to partner with Candor Consulting—this marks another milestone in the emerging market for online investing in private companies in Canada, which is opening investment opportunities to more and more Canadians,” said founder and CEO of FrontFundr Peter-Paul Van Hoeken. “Accredited and non-accredited investors across the country have a direct means to invest relatively small amounts into a broad portfolio of exciting growth-oriented companies from all business sectors.”
At its core FrontFundr functions as an online 'Dragons' Den' for investors and companies, and streamlines the 'costly and cumbersome brokerage firm process', stated the companies in a press release.
Thousands of startups and established companies in Canada can't afford or get the attention of traditional brokerage firms, which generally steer clear of transactions under five million dollars. FrontFundr challenges this traditional model and makes it possible for private companies to raise funds from a wide range of investors.
Although the process is fully automated, Candor and FrontFundr professionals will vet all companies seeking to raise capital. The professional teams will consult with these companies and help them effectively prepare for the capital raise to ensure they are ready and meet due diligence standards.
