North Vancouver, BC, February 12, 2016--(T-Net)--ePACT Network announced this month an investment in the company by Relentless Pursuit Partners, Inc. as well as additional details on a recent seed extension financing round completed by the company.
North Vancouver-based ePACT Network is described as 'the LinkedIn for emergencies', to help navigate unexpected events, increase safety and provide the best possible outcome in any crisis, large or small.
For organizations, ePACT is an easy-to-use system to collect emergency information, waivers and consents. Organizations can also use ePACT to communicate with their members and their emergency contacts in a crisis, or for
health and safety risks associated with organized sport and recreation.
In late Spring 2015, ePact Network Ltd. received almost $1M in federal funding from the Western Economic Diversification WINN program, which required some matching funds by the company.
ePact's existing investor partners, along with a few new funds, have subsequently contributed to a $600,000 seed extension funding round (to match the WINN funds), according to the company.
Relentless Pursuit Partners, Inc. have also invested in the company as part of this seed extension round.
ePACT Network's cumulative funding over all rounds (excluding the WINN grant), is now at approximately $3 million.
Company officials have also reported to T-Net that the Western Economic Diversification WINN program and this recent seed financing have enabled ePACT to advance sales across Canada and the US, and to develop several strategic partnerships that they expect will be announced over the next few months.
Relentless Pursuit Partners, Inc. (RPP) is an investment and consultancy team dedicated to "healthy, active living in a connected world". The company was co-founded by well known Olympic medalist and former professional athlete Simon Whitfield, together with Brenda Irwin who is a former life science venture capitalist for Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), and who is now acting as Managing Partner for Relentless.
Simon Whitfield, Relentless Pursuit Partners, Co-founder, Olympian and father of two active young girls shares, “having the opportunity to influence and accelerate the adoption of a critical tool such as the ePACT system is a textbook ‘difference maker'. As a parent, naturally I feel instant relief at the prospect of reduced paperwork when registering the girls for soccer, swimming or their next race! But what resonates most for me is the idea of the single family emergency record - complete, current, and confidential.”

In October 2015, ePACT also partnered with software provider, Affinity Sports, who serves over 1.2 million soccer players in 14 US Youth Soccer State Associations. With easy integration capabilities with other software solutions, ePACT will be announcing several other key partnerships in the next couple of weeks showcasing the added value ePACT provides software partners, while supporting enhanced safety and reduced risks for organizations.
Brenda Irwin, Managing Partner for RPP states, “not only are we expanding our portfolio with the addition of a compelling sports tech tool and service, ePACT represents our first team of women founders. Having followed their progress since launch in 2012, I am thrilled to be partnering with Christine and Kirsten as a co-investor. Their leadership and commitment to systematically improve access to emergency information is compelling. True role models in the tech community.”
