LifeSciences BC Announces 2016 Annual Award Winners - Zymeworks Wins Life Sciences Company of the Year

Vancouver, BC, February 29, 2016--(T-Net)--LifeSciences BC announced the recipients of the 18th Annual LifeSciences BC Awards, presented by FARRIS.
These awards are presented annually to recognize talented individuals and organizations that represent the life sciences ecosystem in B.C. which includes; academia, health institutions, advisors, government and industry.
The award winners represent the full spectrum from discovery to commercialization, underscoring the depth of knowledge that significantly contributes to the B.C. bioeconomy, while improving the lives of patients here and around the world.
The 2016 Winners are:
Paul Drohan, President & CEO of LifeSciences BC said, “We are extremely fortunate to have such a strong and vibrant life science community to select this year's winners from. It is a rich pool of highly skilled talent, which makes our selection a difficult task, but once decided, it is a brillant cross section of our community's depth of innovation and knowledge-based resources.”
The 2016 LifeSciences BC award winners will be recognized at this year's annual dinner presented by FARRIS, held on April 21, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Special guests from the BC Legislature in attendance will be cabinet ministers, the Hon. Amrik Virk, Minister of Technology Innovation and Citizens' Services and the Hon. Dr. Terry Lake, Minister of Health.
