UBC Students to Test Uber-Style Automated Cars (Today)

Vancouver, BC, August 4, 2016--(T-Net)--UBC announced via a press release that UBC students will be testing Uber-style automated cars later today (Thurs Aug 4th) from 10AM to 12 PM (noon) out at the UBC campus.

Event details: Student-designed automated robots will travel around a small miniature city, navigating various hazards to find and pick up passengers whose beacons indicate that they are looking for a ride. The robots must drop off their passengers at the correct destination while avoiding collisions and giving rides to stray passengers.
