Company aims to disrupt customer experience space with cloud-based feedback management platform designed for engagement
Vancouver, BC, September 23, 2016--(T-Net)--Startup feedback management platform company Wantoo announced today the launch of its formal public beta program, after a year of building and testing the platform privately.
Wantoo has a seasoned leadership team and board of advisors, and last year closed a $500,000 seed round of funding to build out its platform.
During the private beta period Wantoo reported that it worked with nonprofits like the Rockefeller Foundation as well as universities, banks, software companies and event producers across North America to help them collaborate and engage with their communities.
The platform works by capturing feedback from the web, mobile or social media. As feedback comes in it is processed by powerful algorithms that use machine learning and curatorial tools to organize it into manageable themes.
It also allows customers or stakeholders to vote on what they think is most important, allowing any team to quickly identify the highest priorities. Participants are kept up-to-date on the status of ideas they supported. This fosters engagement, builds more effective teams and keeps everyone invested in the outcome.

Wantoo recently partnered with Google News Lab and Hacks & Hackers to stage a multi-city event that brought together hundreds of media and technology experts to hack the future of news. Before, during and after the event, participants used Wantoo to brainstorm ideas for innovative news products, allowing the group to quickly sort and prioritize product concepts to build.
“The simplicity of the Wantoo platform allowed us with very little effort, to instantly engage participants across the globe, help to form teams around shared areas of interest and build a community that we think is critical to the future of our industry.” said Hacks & Hackers Producer Phillip Smith.

Editor's Note: Wantoo is led by co-founder and CEO Michael Tippet who has spent 20 years building technology companies and leading product teams.
He previously founded NowPublic.com, a user-generated social news website that was acquired for a rumoured $25 million by Examiner.com, a division of the Clarity Digital Group (owned by The Anschutz Company, a Denver-based investment firm) back in 2009.
Mr. Tippett also founded The Webpool Syndicate way back in the day (1994-1996), which was one of the first local internet companies in BC and Canada and which sold later to the Columbus Group.
He has also had previous roles as Executive Director at GrowLabs, and Director, New Products at HootSuite, among many others (see full details here or here)

“Today, teams need to make fast decisions if they want to outpace the disruptive forces that are threatening their businesses. And while tools for collaborating have improved dramatically, it is still a challenge when groups are required to act quickly on issues that require input from other stakeholders.” said Michael Tippett, Wantoo co-founder and CEO in describing the platform.
“Anyone who's worked in technology in the last decade has seen how high-performing product teams use agile practices to keep ahead. With our platform we think we can extend that kind of agility to any situation where a decision needs to be made.” said Wantoo co-founder Dave Humphrey.
Scenarios for use are varied, from finalizing a company tagline or determining a venue for an event, to planning an editorial calendar or gathering feedback from customers about products or experiences.
Wantoo is available for anyone to use by visiting the website to sign up for a free trial.
