Vancouver-based Careteam Technologies Closes Investment with Participation by Canadian Angel Super Fund BCF Ventures

Vancouver, BC, January 25, 2019--(T-Net)--Vancouver-based HealthTech startup Careteam Technologies has recently closed an investment round with participation by Canadian Super Angel Fund BCF Ventures, according to a news release issued by BCF.
Many venture funds such as Right Side Capital (San Francisco), Globalive Capital (Canada), Atrium Ventures (Canada) as well as renowned angel investors such as Barney Pell (associate founder of Singularity University and co founder of Moon Express) and Ajay Agarwal (founder of Creative Destruction Lab) reportedly helped close the round, according to the public press release from BCF Ventures.
Terms and amount of the investment have not been released publicly by the company.
Careteam has developed a healthcare-grade team collaboration platform which brings together health care professionals, the patient and personal support team with an integrated care plan, instant communications, and population analytics to enable transitions, complex chronic care, and innovation in a fragmented health care environment. Careteam creates an ecosystem of data, integration and security on which healthcare apps and AI are built.
Careteam is led by Dr. Alexandra T. Greenhill, CEO & Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Greenhill is a physician leader turned tech entrepreneur, with a 15+ years track of $100m+ healthcare innovations, according to information on the company's website. Dr. Greenhill has cofounded award-winning tech companies, is an EIR and a TedX speaker, Top 40 under 40, Most Influential Woman in STEM, WXN Most Powerful Woman and received the Queen Elizabeth II Medal of Service.
Careteam was also recently recognized as a New Ventures BC Top 10 Finalist in 2018.
