KPMG appoints Hartaj Nijjar National Leader of Cyber Security Services

Vancouver, BC, November 26, 2019--(T-Net)--KPMG in Canada has announced the appointment of Hartaj Nijjar as the firm's new National Leader of Cyber Security Services.
Mr. Nijjar brings nearly 20 years of experience leading numerous complex engagements for clients in the areas of IT risk management, information security and privacy, resiliency and availability and e-business and compliance.
"Hartaj has a deep understanding of the cyber risks and challenges facing Canadian organizations today," says Doron Telem, KPMG Canada's National Leader of Risk Consulting. "He's applied his deep knowledge to advise some of the world's largest organizations on matters relating to cyber security, as well as assisting clients design and implement relevant security controls to help prepare for and combat changing security threats."
In his new role, Mr. Nijjar will work with KPMG professionals in Canada and around the world to help Canadian organizations develop appropriate security strategies and governance practices as well as undergo transformations to establish robust cyber defence and cyber response processes.

About Hartaj Nijjar
Hartaj holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Hons) from University of London in England. In 2006, he moved to Canada with another professional services firm where he helped build the firm's technical cyber security capabilities. In 2018, he joined KPMG as a partner in its Canada's Cyber practice. Besides reading fantasy novels and travelling, Hartaj's enjoys spending time teaching his two children how to speak with an English accent.
