Vancouver UX Awards Society Announces Winners of 2019 Vancouver User Experience Awards

Local UX Work Celebrated with the 2019 Vancouver User Experience Awards
Vancouver, BC, December 2, 2019--(T-Net)--The Vancouver UX Awards Society announced today the winners of 2019 Vancouver User Experience Awards.
The 2019 Vancouver User Experience Awards awarded eight prizes and a scholarship to recognize and celebrate the local user experience community who are creating technology products and services that are pleasing and easy to use.
Held at The Vancouver Playhouse in Vancouver, over 400 technology industry leaders attended the Vancouver UX Awards that celebrated the following prize winners:
UX by Students: Simon Fraser University - Medilog
UX for Good: Logic & Form - Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre
UX for Products: Ready - Ready Split Check
UX for E-Commerce: MEC - Store Pickup in 2 Hours
UX for Marketing: Engine Digital - BC Hydro Power Smart Website
UX for Emerging Experiences : Microsoft - Dynamics 365 Guides
People's Choice Award: Logic & Form - Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre
Jury Selection: Best UX: Microsoft - Dynamics 365 Guides
"We hear that Vancouver is consistently called a new tech hub," says Anthony Hempell, The Vancouver UX Awards Society, "with the incredible caliber of entries that the 2019 Vancouver UX Awards received, we can prove that Vancouver is indeed a tech hub and that we have incredible local talent producing award-worthy digital work."
The Vancouver UX Awards awarded the very first Vancouver UX Community Scholarship to Jade Underwood, a student at RED Academy in Vancouver. The $1,500 UX Community Scholarship is a joint initiative of the Vancouver UX Awards, RED Academy and the First Nations Technology Council awarding a scholarship to an eligible First Nations student attending RED Academy.
Also announced was the BrainStation and Vancouver UX Awards Scholarships to promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion in technology: awarding three $2,000 scholarships for BrainStation certificate courses to underrepresented groups (Indigenous peoples, racialized groups, people with disabilities, women, and LGBTQ+).
