Port Moody-Based Child Care Marketplace Developer Sitta.ca Poised to Change the Way Families Find Child Care
Tuesday, June 18, 2019
Vancouver, BC, June 18, 2019--(T-Net)--It's only been a few weeks since www.sitta.ca, the Port Moody based child care marketplace that hopes to change the way Canadian families find child care went live, but they're already gaining new users every day according to the company.
The platform, which works on the familiar reverse bidding model, allows parents to post their full time, part time and baby sitting needs, pet sitting jobs and respite and elder care jobs, and automatically sends them to qualified care providers who meet their criteria.
Care providers receive job notifications, can make offers and submit documentation online, be hired and give and receive feedback and reviews.
Instead of the many step, desperate process facing many Canadian families today, it's quick, easy and convenient, and because the site works on all devices, can be done from anywhere.
"Sitta.ca is the direct result of my own child care search this year," says Tamara Aspeling, founder of the platform, "when emails, phone calls, social media group posts and classified job ads turned up nothing, I realized there was a problem, and Sitta is the solution."
Unlike nanny agencies, there are no fees and commissions to use Sitta.ca. Parents can post their child care jobs as often as they need to, with a forever free account, and while there are paid options for professional care providers, there's also a free account that allows them to get started without any cost.
Since the site covers the full spectrum of child care needs, and since it's already functional in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, it's not only a convenient child care search platform, it's also the most accessible, according to the company.
"We'd love to reach the point where families who are moving across Canada can find and secure childcare before they arrive in their new city, and where it's easy to find a reliable babysitter when you need them. We want to take the hard work out of finding child care services and being found, and we're well on our way."
