Vancouver, BC, February 5, 2021--(T-Net)--PDFTron Systems announced that it has introduced version 8.1.1 of its Android PDF SDK, including a brand new Smart Pen tool, PDF to Word conversion, and a new way to create shape annotations with a single tap.
PDFTron SDK is a technology platform that brings PDF, CAD, and MS Office capabilities to any software. It's an easier and faster way to build document functionality, making developers more productive and users happier.
Major changes of 8.1.1 include.
Smart Pen Tool
We've added a brand new tool to the PDFTron Tools library that streamlines the note-taking experience, making note-taking workflows a breeze. Users can now create their text markups and ink annotations on documents seamlessly without switching tools.
Convert PDF to Word
We've also added support for PDF to Word conversion in a brand new SDK package called PDFTron Actions. This feature uses easyPDF's Cloud Rest API for PDF to Word conversion and supports PDF to HTML conversion as well! You can then power a workflow using the conversion API and have users access the converted documents in a single stylish interface equipped with features to view, save and share.

WeThe company says it will continue developing the PDFTron Android Actions package with additional modular features.
Single Tap Shape Annotation Creation
Next, with this release, we also made it so users can create shape annotations, like lines, rectangles, ovals, rulers, and rectangular measurements, with just a single tap. Single tap provides more accuracy and precision when adding shape annotations of a specific size. Thus, users will find it even easier to annotate their documents, ensuring a better user experience and user satisfaction.
Single tap shape creation can be enabled in the ToolManager, which can be customized as described in this guide.
