TELUS Is Investing $109 Million Across Greater Victoria and Sunshine Coast / Vancouver Island This Year to Keep Communities Connected

Burnaby, BC, July 20, 2021--(T-Net)--TELUS announced today that they are investing $63 million across Greater Victoria this year, as part of their $13 billion investment in infrastructure and operations across British Columbia through 2024 to further support the province throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent economic recovery.
TELUS is also investing $28 million this year in the Sunshine Coast region including Pender Harbour, Gibsons, Sechelt, and Powell River, and investing $18 million across Central Vancouver Island this year including Nanaimo, Chemainus, Duncan, Qualicum Bay, Qualicum Beach, Tofino, Sechelt, and Ucluelet.

Planning on TELUS' new Victoria headquarters, TELUS Ocean, is also underway. TELUS Ocean will be a key economic hub in Victoria's growing tech and innovation ecosystem, contributing to Victoria's economic strength, culture, and social vitality, while satisfying the growing demand for additional downtown office space. TELUS anticipates that TELUS Ocean will open in 2024.
