Vancouver and California-based Datajoy Acquired by Databricks

Vancouver, BC, October 21, 2022--(T-Net)--Datajoy, which has a mix of employees in Vancouver, Canada and the US, has been acquired by US-based Databricks to accelerate their mission to unlock the value of data for everyone.
Datajoy provides a Revenue Intelligence solution that unifies an organization's customer data and gives ML-augmented insights to systematically optimize customer acquisition and retention activities.
They provide the power of a leading-edge data science practice dedicated to its go-to-market efforts, without the associated cost and effort, according to the company. Datajoy answers the top of mind questions that every revenue leader has right now while delivering the data platform that winning organizations will need for the future.
Datajoy was funded by backed by leading investors including Foundation Capital, Partech, IGSB, Bow Capital and Quarry.
The company's CEO and Co-Founder Ken Wong who formerly Led Product Management for Tableau's Core and Augmented Analytics capabilities, is based in Vancouver and will now become the Sr. Director of Product Management at Databricks.
The Datajoy product and engineering team will join Databrick's expanding presence in the Pacific Northwest.

With the aid of Datajoy, Databricks says it will also expand and strengthen their library of "Solutions Accelerators." Along with their partners, the company says it intends to deliver pre-built solutions that showcase the flexibility and power of the Lakehouse platform, while being as simple to deploy and manage as any modern cloud app.
