Vancouver, BC, October 4, 2023--(T-Net)--Vancouver-based OnDeck Fisheries AI announced today that it's "AI for Scalable Fisheries Monitoring Project" has been awarded $1.5 million in funding from Canada's Ocean Supercluster.

The company says it is taking the lead in this initiative in collaboration with Canada's Ocean Supercluster and backed by a consortium of industry frontrunners: Teem Fish Monitoring Inc., Goodfish Seafood Co., Ha'oom Fisheries Society, Ocean Wise, The Canadian Groundfish Research and Conservation Society, Snap Core, and J.O. Thomas & Associates, and more.

The company says what set its project apart was "creating a historic convergence of industry leaders, academic expertise, Indigenous fisheries, and cutting-edge AI capabilities like never before seen in the ocean ecosystem".
