SFU Student Recognized as Globe and Mail 'Changemaker', Sets Course for 'Aerospace for All'

Thomas, an SFU engineering student and former president of the student-run SFU Aerospace group, was recently recognized with a 2022 Changemaker award from The Globe and Mail. The award recognizes "emerging leaders who are finding pragmatic solutions to the world's most intricate problems."

SFU Researchers Help Develop World's First Autonomous Agriculture Planning Software

Burnaby, BC, February 23, 2022--Simon Fraser University researchers are playing an important role in developing the world's first interactive, operational planning software for autonomous agriculture. Announced recently by Canada's Digital Technology Supercluster, the project - led by Verge Ag, in collaboration with Terramera, i-Opentech, SFU and QuantoTech - will help farmers be more efficient, increase their output, lower their costs, and have a positive impact on the environment.
