Sophos Appoints Rick Medlock to Its Board of Directors

Vancouver, BC, April 6, 2017--(T-Net)--Sophos (LSE:SOPH) a leader in network and endpoint security announced that Rick Medlock has been appointed to its board of directors as a non-executive director and becomes a member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committees.
Sophos also announced that with effect from June 30, 2017, Ed Gillis will step down as a non-executive director and chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee. Ed has been with the Sophos Group since 2009 and has led the Committee since the Sophos IPO in June 2015.
Rick Medlock will become chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee at that time.

Editor's Note: One of Sophos' three main facilities in North America is located in downtown Vancouver at 580 Granville Street. Sophos had earlier acquired Vancouver's ActiveState in 2003 for a reported $23 million in cash.

Rick Medlock brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial management of large international technology companies.
Rick is currently the chief financial officer at Worldpay, a position he has held since 2015. Rick joined Worldpay from Misys where he was also chief financial officer. From 2004 to 2013 Rick was chief financial officer of Inmarsat plc and prior to that he was chief financial officer and company secretary of NDS Group plc. The early part of his career was spent in a variety of roles as chief financial officer of a number of private equity backed technology companies in the U.K. and the U.S. Rick is a qualified chartered accountant in the U.K.
