STN expands its service to publishers by hosting dedicated sports vertical pages
Victoria, BC, August 9, 2017--(T-Net)-- SendtoNews Video Inc. (“STN”) announced today that it has launched SportstoNews.com, a full service sports page hosting service, giving publishers a rich and engaging golf news site, entirely automated, curated and monetized by STN.
The page is skinned to reflect the exact look and feel of each publisher's site and they only need to place the “golf” link on their sports page. “
We know while publishers resources are stretched, their audience demands more, specifically more video content,” explained Matthew Watson, CEO of SendtoNews. “SportstoNews.com allows our publishers to offer rich and diverse golf content to its viewers without any cost or resources.”
SportstoNews.com provides publishers with a dedicated golf vertical site that is customized to their own site's look and feel and is constantly updated with the latest content from STN's video library as well as editorial articles.
The page is made available free of charge to the publisher with their domain placed in the URL.
STN monetizes the sites with a share going to the linking publisher. The page currently showcases exclusive video highlights, recaps, interviews and coverage from the PGA Tour, USGA, LPGA, Champions Tour, Web.com Tour, European Tour and more. The page also features content direct from GolfWeek, a live scoreboard and the ability to be customized for local tournaments.
Sportstonews.com maintains the page entirely on their end, freeing up publisher resources, according to the company.
Over 100 publishers have signed on to be inaugural partners and incorporate the SportstoNews platform on their sports pages including the Indianapolis Star and St Louis Post Dispatch.

Editor's Note: In related news, Disney announced yesterday that it will launch an ESPN sports video streaming service in early 2018, including MLB, NHL and MLS content. There is no word yet on whether they will offer syndication opportunities and if so, how this may affect local tech company SendtoNews' digital sports video business (which distributes game highlights, player interviews and other fan-interest content to digital properties of broadcasters, print, radio and online news outlets throughout North America and abroad).
