Rossland Based Thoughtstream Closes $2 Million Investment

Rossland, BC, July 5, 2013--(T-Net)--Fulcrum Management Solutions Ltd., makers of Thoughtstream announced the successful closing of its third investment round of two million dollars led by Toronto's First Generation Capital Inc.

Thoughtstream is a stakeholder engagement solution, used by the private and public sectors as well as associations and non-profit organizations. It provides a comprehensive online platform and accompanying services. Thoughtstream enables customers to connect with the people affected by a decision and hear what is most important to them.
This disruptive software and service is now experiencing a rapid growth phase as customers see the benefit of creating buy-in, building trust and informing their decisions through effective stakeholder engagement.

As a result of this rapid growth, Thoughtstream announces the addition of eight new positions, with a preference for candidates in the Kootenays in the areas of sales, software development and customer support.

Amos Michelson Founder and Chairman
Amos Michelson is Chairman of three high-tech start-ups and Director of an additional four high-tech companies in the areas of life sciences, energy, and Web 2.0. Mr. Michelson was CEO of Creo, Inc. from June 1995 until Kodak purchased Creo for C$1.2 Billion in May 2005. He is a past member of the Premier's Technology Council and in 1999 was named Entrepreneur of the Year, along with Dan Gelbart, by Ernst & Young. In 2005, Mr. Michelson was named the “BCTIA Person of the Year”, an award presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the technology industry during the year.
Jim Firstbrook Founder and CEO
Jim has been developing software for 27 years with product vision, architecture and management responsibilities for the last 15 years. He has held positions with MacDonald Dettwiler, Creo Products and Kodak Graphic Communications. Since university Jim has had parallel careers in outdoor education, mountain guiding and organizational development. Fulcrum combines his passions for software and people in a single product. Dave MacLeod Founder and Vice President
Dave has an interdisciplinary background in business development, sales, marketing, project management and facilitation. Dave is passionate about group development and communication innovation and has worked in leadership roles in both the non-profit and business sectors. He is a proud new father, loves snobby coffee and plays a little guitar.
