Science Fair Foundation Announces Upcoming Regional Science Fairs Across BC (and TKS, an Innovation Program for Students Aged 13-17)

Vancouver, BC, March 8, 2024--(T-Net)--The Science Fair Foundation of BC has announced several upcoming Regional Science Fairs across British Columbia.
These regional science fairs are taking place all over British Columbia and Yukon Territory throughout March and April.
"Find the regional fair nearest you and visit the fair during public viewing to meet the next generation of science leaders, or reach out to fair organizers if you'd like to volunteer" said the organization in its release.
Central Interior Science Exhibition
March 9 at University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, BC
Yukon-Stikine STEM Expo
March 27 at Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre in Whitehorse, YT
Cariboo-Mainline Regional Science Fair
April 3 at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC
Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair
April 4-6 at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC
West Kootenay Science and Technology Fair
April 6 at Selkirk College (Tenth Street Campus) in Nelson, BC
South Fraser Regional Science Fair
April 9-10 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, BC
Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair
April 10-11 at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC
East Kootenay Regional Science Fair
April 12 at College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, BC
Northern Vancouver Island Regional Science Fair
April 23-25 at Port Hardy Recreation Centre in Port Hardy, BC
Vancouver Island Regional Science Fair
April 28-29 at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC
The organization also announced TKS, an Innovation Program for ambitious and curious students aged 13-17.
Are you ready to make an impact? TKS is the world's top innovation program for students aged 13-17.
The program is designed to make students future-ready with the tools and mindsets needed to solve important problems in the world.
TKS alumni have gone on to become the youngest employees at SpaceX, NASA, Google, Microsoft, Tesla, and OpenAI. They've started companies valued at over $500 million and earned full-ride scholarships to UBC, Harvard, Stanford, the University of North Carolina, and more.
By the end of the 10-month program, students will:
TKS looks for curiosity, drive, and willingness to put in the work. They don't look at grades, and there's no prerequisite to apply. There's also up to 100% tuition support so don't let cost or grades hold you back from changing your future!
