Your role:
The Solutions Architect (Finance) is primarily responsible for the creation, review, and approval of architectural solutions, supporting documents, and artefacts to satisfy the business needs for Global Relay's financial systems, which span customer and partner portals, ERPs, CRMs, Data Models and Global Relay's products.
The Solutions Architect works collaboratively with Finance, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development to understand and refine requirements in order to develop architectures which will support the current and future needs of the business. Although their main focus is on high-level design, the Solutions Architect will contribute to low-level designs where required, collaborating closely with Engineering colleagues to run or participate in spikes and PoC's.
The ideal candidate for the role would have a background as an Architect focused on financial systems, and have experience with data management and system/data integrations across an organization for batch, transactional, and Master Data Management (MDM) related integrations.
Your job:
- Creation of solution designs and other architecture artefacts for the Finance team's systems, ensuring consistency with agreed business requirements
- Collaborate with other Architects, Finance, Engineering, Security and Product Management, to ensure that architectures and designs are reviewed and signed off by all stakeholders and related initiatives are aligned with the strategic direction of the business
- Work with project teams to define the integration strategies of their projects
- Participate in technology selection and the successful integration of new technology across Finance and the broader organization
- Collaborate with external consultants and subject matter experts for commercial off-the-shelf software, ensuring that their implementation and solutions align with the design, and that the documentation and other artefacts being produced meet Global Relay's expectations for quality and thoroughness
- Lead or assist in the resolution of complex technical problems, spikes or PoC's, collaborating with peers to remove blockers and address issues
- In collaboration with peers, define the infrastructure and hardware requirements that support the development and deployment of services in ways that scale simply and quickly to support business growth
- Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution where required
- Ensure that risks are identified and fully understood by relevant risk owners, and that risk mitigation strategies are in place for risks raised
About you:
- A minimum of 5 years in a Solutions Architect role, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience defining the solution architecture for systems that integrate with commercial software applications, such as CRM and ERP systems and internally developed systems
- Knowledge of standards, frameworks, and practices related to enterprise architecture, integration architecture, and data architecture
- Experience with:
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Application, SaaS, or big data integrations
- Creating integration solution blueprints, technical specifications, and reference materials
- Designing custom integration solutions using APIs, web services, messaging protocols, and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions
- Data modelling, mapping and governance
- Public and private cloud infrastructure
- Security methodologies and technologies
- Software testing
- Modern coding practices and application architectures
- Ability to be hands-on technical where required
- Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT Operations teams, Security, software development teams, Product Managers, and internal stakeholders
