Business Development Representative Responsibilities:
- Client & lead management for the heavy industrial sector. Maintains and nurtures relationships with clients and effectively markets company services to fulfill their potential needs and reach sales targets
- Takes initiative on developing, growing professional network, though a variety of on-line and face to face methods resulting in developing new leads and maintaining old ones (cold and warm calls, emails, meetings, and presentations)
- Plans a response approach and strategy for proposal requests, completes written proposals and provides detailed estimates
- Prepares and presents professional executive level presentations, and demonstrates strong technical engineering knowledge, while effectively answering client's questions and meeting their needs
- Collaborates with Enginuity Stakeholders to develop marketing materials and social media content to drive inquiries
- Manages relationships with Clients to obtain repeat business and partners with Project Manager and Project Engineers to ensure client satisfaction
- Supports Director of Business Development and Managing Partner to resolve client issues or concerns
- Plans, strategizes, and executes niche market and service campaigns while collaborating with Enginuity Stakeholders to develop marketing materials and social media content to drive inquiries
- Maintains and updates marketing database system (CRM), provides reports, and updates system, as required.
- Uses internal tools and technology to provide forecasting, trends and marketing opportunity analytics
- Continually stays abreast of market and industry trends and provides business intelligence to Managing Partners
- Will do occasional site visits, and must be able to use own vehicle and maintain a safe driver's abstract? (During Covid, all client interaction work is done remotely?)
Qualifications
- Understanding of heavy industrial project life cycle and possesses knowledge and demonstrated understanding of mechanical and structural systems, design, and engineering
- Previous experience in sales/business development experience within a client management consulting services environment, is required
- Sound understanding for plant expansion, maintenance projects with different execution models
- Understanding of project life cycle ranging from feasibility, engineering, tendering, and construction management
- Professional self-starter, with excellent interpersonal and human interaction skills able to collaborate and work well with people with various backgrounds and disciplines
- Must be proficient in English both oral and written, with exceptional communication (verbal & written), teamwork, and outreach.
- Must demonstrate excellent ability to communicate technical details and specifications with clients from both Engineering and Non-Engineering backgrounds.
- Strong networking and marketing aptitude, with a mindset on setting and achieving goals, while ensuring client satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and effectively handle several projects/priorities
- Computer literacy (CRM, MS Office Applications)
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
- Previous experience in consulting or multi-disciplinary engineering a strong asset
- Previous experience in sales/business development experience with client management capacity
- Ability to link and gauge targeted client with suitable value-added services
