We have an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Salesforce Solution Architect to join our Richmond, BC headquarters. You will be an important member of a team that supports over 1500 users in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. You will work with our internal CRM business project team, our external partners and our CRM Administrator to design a future state solution for our CRM platform. You will be supporting all of Salesforce's current capabilities including: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Customer & Partner Communities, Five9 Call Center integration, Zuora Subscription Billing, Eloqua Lead Generation integration, TaskRay, Salesforce Einstein, as well as a custom Salesforce Forecasting application and much more. The project will involve multiple key stakeholder groups and dozens of Subject Matter Experts. You will be an important gate keeper in ensuring that the company spends its funds and efforts on what will deliver optimal value. You will influence others of such value by producing solid business cases, business process and wireframe diagrams. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be an integral part in transforming our Salesforce Technology stack for our evolving Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Service and Partner processes. As a key role in the organization and an IT/S conduit to the CRM business community, you will efficiently synthesize both technical and business information and present implementation needs and options confidently. You will represent complex information equally well to a C-level audience or a developer community. You have hands-on experience implementing and architecting Salesforce functionality and can act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams, testing teams and business stakeholders during the implementation phase. You have a combination of Salesforce platform experience, business analyst insight, technical capabilities and will be keen to first understand and then improve our core business processes. In addition to advanced technical and business acumen, you have a service-oriented attitude, strategic outlook, complete sense of ownership and propensity for teamwork and communication as a key member of a high-performing team. Key Accountabilities:
- You will work with internal business partners to elicit and analyze requirements, develop designs, and will help maintain and enhance our current Salesforce instance
- Extensive Salesforce knowledge and experience (5+ years with ideally 8+) in a medium to large sized enterprise setting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills; able to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, interpret high level information into details, and ascertain user requests and requirements as needed
- Ability to manage and prioritize concurrent projects within a high energy, fast paced and evolving environment
- Can interpret and develop technical and business strategy roadmaps and apply a detailed technical solution
- Leads discovery workshops, which includes meeting facilitation with large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations
- Performs business process modelling, user experience modeling and technical architecture diagramming
- Develops detailed project/program documentation as needed
- Leads SFDC and/or IT Governance initiatives as needed
- Supports new product introductions as needed
- Be an integral contributor to the business intelligence teams
- Identifies and inventories customer process improvement opportunities and gaps in best practices
- Effectively leverages multiple implementation team types (User experience, Change Management, Global Development Centers, Developer Communities)
- Must be comfortable speaking to senior executives and various groups to defend ideas and propose new solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- A creative thinker able to generate new ideas and concepts
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' experience with 8 years preferred as a Business Systems Analyst or Systems Consultant for a mid-to-large-sized organization, or direct consulting expertise leading sales and marketing transformation projects
- Experience with Salesforce configuration and custom development
- Strong understanding of Salesforce's capabilities and limitations with the ability to clearly communicate those to internal stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture frameworks, best practices, and business processes
- Excellent understanding of advanced Salesforce configuration tools (Flow, Process Builder)
Desired Education, Experience & Competencies
- ERP experience (JD Edwards), database or manufacturing experience
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification or knowledge
- Salesforce Architect, Administrator, Salesforce Solution Architect, and/or Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud certifications
- Experience with other CRM software (i.e. Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SugarCRM, etc.)
